Mobile Detailing Prices in Florida (2026 Guide)
GetAutoDetailing earns money from detailers who buy paid plans. Paid listings are labeled as such. How we list and rank: About.
Last updated: October 23, 2026. The figures below come from published guides and from what shops advertise, not from invoices. Florida-specific mobile pricing is thin in public data, so we show national ranges next to Florida shop data and mark what is which.
Mobile detailing price ranges
| Source (published 2026) | Range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Guide from a detailer directory, national | About $140 – $250 | Average range; lists what is included |
| Guide from a field-service software company, national | About $160 basic, $280 standard, $440 premium | Priced for a midsize SUV; travel fee extra |
| Guide from a Florida detailing business | About $200 – $400 standard; $300 – $600 deeper cleaning | Standard excludes paint enhancement and ceramic coating |
These sources do not use the same package definitions, so compare scope, not only price. Advertised Florida prices for full details at shops give a useful cross-check: $149 to $305 with a median of $205 (September 2026). See our car detailing cost guide.
Where mobile detailers are listed in Florida
GetAutoDetailing lists 1,700 Florida detailers (count on October 22, 2026); 715 of them are tagged “Mobile Detailing.” The tag comes from the listing’s category, which was set from public information and the business, so confirm the service area with the detailer.
| City | Detailers listed | Tagged Mobile Detailing | Local page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tampa | 135 | 111 | Detailers in Tampa |
| Ocala | 138 | 73 | Detailers in Ocala |
| Port St. Lucie | 130 | 61 | Detailers in Port St. Lucie |
| Brandon | 61 | 43 | Detailers in Brandon |
| Miami | 141 | 11 | Detailers in Miami |
| Orlando | 38 | 3 | Detailers in Orlando |
Miami and Orlando have many listed detailers but few tagged as mobile, which does not mean nobody does mobile work there: ask when you call.
Is mobile detailing more expensive than a shop?
Often slightly. Published guides say mobile pricing can be comparable to or a bit higher than shop pricing because of the convenience, and that it has to cover fuel, drive time and setup that a shop does not. Many mobile averages come with a travel fee. A consumer cost guide also lists mobile versus brick-and-mortar service as a factor in the final price.
What you get in exchange is time. A standard mobile detail can take a few hours at your home or office, and many mobile detailers bring their own water, power and equipment. Confirm that before you book.
When mobile detailing makes sense
Mobile service fits when your time is the scarce resource: you work all day, you have two or three cars to do, or you want the interior done while you stay home. It fits less well for jobs that need a controlled space, such as paint correction or ceramic coating, or when you have no shaded parking, water or power access and the detailer has to improvise. If you are comparing, get one mobile quote and one shop quote for the same package and compare the totals, travel included.
What changes the price of a mobile detail
Package. Basic, standard and premium packages differ by hours of labor. A basic package is mainly a wash and vacuum; a premium package adds clay, sealant, deep interior work and engine bay cleaning.
Vehicle size. National advertised medians for a full detail climb from about $250 for sedans to $280 for SUVs and $300 for trucks and large SUVs (September 2026).
Condition. Pet hair, heavy stains, odors and baked-on bugs add time. A consumer cost guide lists odor removal at about $75 and carpet steam cleaning from about $75.
Travel. Ask whether travel is included in the quote and what your zip code adds.
Add-ons. Paint correction and ceramic coating usually need a controlled space and more time. Many detailers do these in a shop, not in your driveway. Ask.
Service area and demand. Prices differ by city. A consumer cost guide (October 2026) puts typical detail prices in Florida’s large cities in a fairly narrow band of roughly $135 to $155, counting basic packages.
Florida factors that affect mobile detailing
- Heat and afternoon storms. Florida summers mean heat, UV and daily thunderstorms. The EPA’s UV Index guide (EPA, 2004) lists Miami at 10-11 (very high to extreme) in summer. A mobile detailer needs shade or a morning slot and a plan for rain. Ask what happens if weather cancels the job and how rescheduling works.
- HOA, condo and apartment rules. Some communities restrict car washing, require approval or limit runoff. Check your rules before you book, and ask what water and power the detailer brings.
- Water and power. Most mobile detailers are self-sufficient. If your parking spot has no access, tell the detailer up front.
- Lovebugs. UF/IFAS says to remove lovebug remains within about 24 hours. One advantage of mobile service is that a detailer can come to you quickly, but ask about same-week availability during the April-May and August-September swarms.
- Salt and sun. Coastal and outdoor-parked cars need more decontamination work, which adds time. See what a detail does and does not fix.
- Hurricane season. Mobile detailers cannot work in storms, and flood-damaged interiors are restoration work, not a standard detail. FLHSMV warns buyers to check flood history on used cars.
- Snowbird season. Part-time residents return in winter and spring and calendars fill. Ask for a written date and scope.
How to compare mobile detailing quotes
- Ask for the package list. What exactly is included in “full detail”?
- Ask about travel. Is it included, and what is the service radius?
- Ask what the detailer brings. Water, power, extraction equipment.
- Ask about weather policy. Rain, heat and rescheduling.
- Ask about insurance. Confirm liability coverage, especially for a valuable car.
- Ask about payment and tips. See the FAQ below.
- Send photos. Send each provider the same vehicle details and photos so quotes are comparable.
A quote far below the ranges above may mean a limited package; ask what is included and whether the detailer carries insurance.
Frequently asked questions
How much does auto detailing typically cost?
A consumer cost guide (October 2026) puts the typical figure at about $175 nationally and roughly $135 to $155 in Florida’s large cities, counting basic packages. Mobile service adds fuel and drive time. See the full detailing cost guide.
How much should a full detail be?
Advertised full-detail prices at Florida detailers run about $150 to $300 for a car, more for an SUV or truck, with a median of $205 (September 2026). Mobile prices in published guides are in a similar range.
How much to tip on a $200 car detail?
There is no fixed standard that we could find in published sources. Tipping is optional. Ask the company whether tips go directly to the technician, and decide based on the service.
How do I price my mobile detailing business?
That is a question for detailers, not customers. Price from your real labor, materials and overhead, not only from competitors. If you run a detailing business, see the GetAutoDetailing plans for detailers.
